      Any exercise is better than none if you have a lot of weight to lose you need to start off slowly,A twenty minute walk every day is beneficial and gets you off your bum and out of the house,this can be built up as your energy levels and fitness increases,as your fitness and confidence grows you may want to try other things ,then you can choose the exercise Of your choice swimming is a great all over body work out with no strain on the muscles as you are buoyant and in water.My exercise choice for over two years now has been Zumba and Fit Steps a ballroom dancing workout derived from STRICTLY COME DANCING ,it is fun and you dont need a partner,,At the end of the day ANY exercise is better than none and only needs 20 minutes a day to make it work or two three times a week hourly ,The only warning is You will become addicted to it ,,HAPPY DAYS

      start small and work your way up i started walking for half an hour & now im up to an hour & 15 mins. & mix it up sometimes id get bored of walking so id go swimming or even get in the car & go somewhere different to walk change of scenery really helps πŸ™‚

      Begin slowly . For a while I only excerised at home ( as was to embarrassed to pound the roads ) I got sone DVDs & googled some tips , I now have started walking (treadmill) and trying to build that up .
      I hope to start swimming soon & hopefully that will help .

      Exercise urgh its one of those things you either love or hate, do or don’t. Hopefully you do and enjoy what you do. But you don’t have to be a gym goer if your shy. I am shy and the thought of going to the gym freaks me out I’d need a gym partner lol. Every move made throughout your day IS exercise, shaking your shaker IS exercise. Even tossing and turning all night in this heat IS exercise. Simple things like gardening, washing your car, going up stairs, walking the dog is all exercise.
      For me personally I do 20 minutes of yoga every morning before work at 4am, this wakes my body up for the hours I’m spent on my feet at work.
      It can be hard to start a routine but once started give it a week and you’ll be more awake, toning, happy you wont want to stop. Don’t stop!
      I am considering facing my fear and going to join the gym to aid my weightloss, toning and maintenance even though it scares the bejesus outta me. However I know it needs doing!
      Sure you could do no exercise but you could easily slip back to those old ways.
      Make yourself a pact, you want to lose weight…great! Then do something about it, who knows you might find a little motivation out there or in the gym that keeps you going back πŸ˜‰

      my tips for exercise while on the plan is to start slowly ( especially if you’ve not exercised before !)
      go for a walk , 20 mins to start and build up from there , you’ll be surprised how quickly you can walk further every day – just don’t forget that the further you walk in one direction is the same distance going back .
      when your comfortable doing that , start a yoga programme , its gentle on the body so do what you can plus 1 level , no point doing it if you don’t push yourself that little bit .
      theres no need to join an expensive gym to see results .
      exercise isn’t essential on the plan but it sure makes you feel good once you’ve done it and toning the slimmer body will help in the excess skin as the lbs drop off .xx

      I think exercise is the key to feeling fantastic. I think losing weight works much better and your body tones faster if you exercise it. Nothing looks worse than being saggy and baggy so if u exercise while u lose weight u will look better faster. Today is a huge step for me because I had my first gym session with a trainer. I need him cause he will keep me motivated. The best exercise for losing weight is weight training. Don’t confuse that with body building lol I don’t want to look like arnie but it’s proven to tone the muscle and strip the fat away faster than anything else u can do. Added to a little bit of cardio and I do feel great. Mind u it’s only been day one lol πŸ™‚ xxxx

      Start small – When going anywhere in the car, always park further away than anticipated! This makes you walk that much further.
      If you don’t like going out to do exerscise, buy a dvd and start with that… Take the kids out to the park for a run around… anything helps!!

      Aim small and let it grow as your energy does…I started with 5 mins on treadmill…slowly…then the next day add a min and add a min…because I was at home I wasn’t self conscious about what I wore or how I looked sweating like a looney tune…Small steps…then work up to burning off calories equal to a shake or snack a day…This really helped me πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚

      Start small I’ve started walking anywhere I can instead of jumping in the car. Even getting out and doing some gardening is keeping active.

      Don’t push yourself too far too soon!

      Get back to basics… Ask yourself.. Do I need to take the car? Can I get off the bus one stop early?

      Little bits here and now go a long long way!!

      Can you sustain the exercise…. Going all out on one day doesn’t help you at all if you can’t repeat it 3 times a week!!

      If you start from scratch – so lets say from no exercise at all I would suggest start with a 20-30 min brisk walk 5 days a week. You don’t have to spend loads to exercise all you need is a good pair of trainers .. you don’t drive a car with bald tyres do you.. so decent trainers protect your knees and joints & prevent injury !! I read the book run fat bitch run and I haven’t looked back .. from not being able to run for 1 min to running 5K in a matter of weeks, If I can do it anyone can ! I also love Pavlas perfectly lean body work outs on you tube they are free and VERY good, she has loads of videos so you can target your desired area this month I am doing my thigh work outs ! Even if you only have 10 mins spare in your day this is a great free work out … my major tip would be try & find something you actually enjoy your more likely to stick to it !

      . I started May 19th and was able to do 30 lengths in a combination of front crawl, doggie paddle, walking and struggling for breath in 45mins…9 weeks later, I can swim non-stop, 60 lengths in 30mins, I then use the 15mins for stretching and flexibility, I have lost 3 dress sizes and am a lot more toned despite middle age and gravity!! For those of us who are transforming our bodies – swimming is an effective workout that will bring you astonishing results. Swimming helps strengthen your core and work different muscle groups. Swimming boasts numerous health benefits. It helps to reduce your blood pressure, strengthen your heart and improve your aerobic capacity.

      My top tips for weight loss are always to walk everywhere, even if it’s to the train station, or a choice of stairs over lift – always walk! That and to join a spin club – not only is it great for meeting friends but the banter and competitive nature will always drive you to do the best you can. πŸ™‚
