[Guest Blog] Gina’s TFR Week 4 Weigh In*

I am over the moon with the results. This is what can be achieved if you stick to the New You plan. To show you what I mean here is a photo of my overall transformation on the plan so far!

I found this week that I had a little ‘Wobble’, not in the fat wobble sense mind you!! But a mental wobble. I had a moment of feeling ‘how on earth did I manage to get myself into this state? ‘Kind of wobble. How did I put on nearly 9 stone? How could I do this to myself? And I was down and fed up. I actually had a good old cry, went to bed and just closed the world away. As some of you may know I have had a traumatic couple of years with my best friend dying in a car crash and my only sibling took her life. My sister Clare. Who I miss every hour of every day.  I just got very low. !  My mind was racing and I was quite upset with the ‘should haves’ could haves’ ‘why didn’t I haves’ kind of questions to myself.  I fell asleep. I woke up feeling not too bad and my dog was beside me, and Alfie my golden retriever was just so lovely staying with me. Then slowly I realised my plan to change my life journey and the promise I made to myself was to ‘change’ my mind-set this year and do my best to change my life. And not to react in the same old ways, and this was a test and an opportunity to learn to use that new technique.  I realised, wow I don’t have 9 stone to lose now, I only have about 3.5 stone to lose because I lost the previous amount of weight last year on the New You plan! So I began to realise that it was my mind that was making me sad, and the reality really was very different. Yes I still have lost my sister and friend, but I am in a far better place than I was two years ago. This is progress! I wiped away the tears, had a shower. And made a nice hot New You chocolate which was so comforting, and decided to do my measurements for this blog for my first month.

Well I did just that. And when I saw the results of the measurements I was so ecstatic. I could see the tangible results before my eyes. Wow what a great achievement in just 4 weeks, look what I can do. This simple thing of just taking stock of where I have come to in the New You plan renewed my strength and positivity. The New You results lifted my mood no end.  As you can see the results were quite dramatic especially on my waist. The calf stayed the same, because I walk every day the muscle there is slower to lose. So there and then I realised I can’t change what happened in my life, I can only go on, and I would rather go on a healthy version of me instead of a un-healthy version of me, it’s our choice !! So I decided there and then to book myself a treat for my month end reward to a SPA for the works, facial, hair, nails etc.   Then I booked a three day holiday in Paris in May for when I complete the weight loss goal in total. This has spurred me on.

So guys the message here I think is, no matter what happens in your life, day to day, things will happen anyway, life is out of your control, BUT you can CHOOSE how you wish to approach them, stay the same and do the same things or change yourself, love yourself and deal with the life’s situation, coming from a healthier more positive position. This problem or life event is going to happen anyway, so why not deal with it from a good place!

That is right, I’ve lost 2 lbs. So I have exceeded the goal of 1 stone loss for this month!!! Wooohoooooo

I wish you all success and when you are down, some days, take stock have a look at where you are and what you have a achieved, like me, when I saw the measurements and results it just lifted my mood and that is all that I needed, a simple thing to happen to lift my spirits. Thank you New You for that!
