Today:

Lorna and Suzanne talk about the impact that eating conventional foods has on a ketogenic / ketosis diet such as our own.

What is Ketosis?

Ketosis is a state in which your body is burning its fat reserves as its primary source of fuel. Our products are designed to safely put your body into this state and keep you there for the duration of your time on our diet.

To get to the point where your body is in ketosis you have to use all your bodies stored energy which is known as glycogen. This process takes an average of 3-4 day to happen, don’t worry if it takes you a little longer it does happen!

Why is this so important?

This state is really important for the following reasons, first and foremost it is a fast way of burning fat. Secondly in this state you will not feel hungry – this for the obvious reason is a massive bonus when on a diet! 🙂

The benefits don’t stop there though as you also have the benefit of a general sense of emotional well being that comes from the plan and you will have heaps of energy.
